Liz Collins is an artist and designer, recognized internationally for her use of machine knitting to create ground breaking clothing, textiles, performances and installations. Her work is materially and process driven, with the fabric she makes, manipulates, or embellishes being at the core of her process. Collins is a USA Target Fellow in Crafts and Traditional Arts (2006), a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, an Associate Professor at RISD, and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
