Intern For Headmaster For the right applicant, the position may also be a combination of the following: The DESIGN INTERN will assist the creative director with all aspects of magazine design and pre-press as well as marketing/promotional materials. Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is required as well as strong photo retouching skills. The design intern should have a sharp eye for detail and be able to work under strict deadlines. Web design and photography skills are a definite plus. The EDITORIAL INTERN will provide the publishers with editorial assistance, creative research, artist relations, and maintain a database of potential future contributors to the magazine. Applicants should have strong organizational skills and a dedicated interest in contemporary art. The PR/MARKETING INTERN will assist with the planning of events in conjunction with the launch of our winter issue, research additional marketing opportunities and oversee the organization of press materials. They will additionally assist in social media and general promotion of the magazine. Applicants should be organized, enthusiastic, and possess excellent writing skills. All positions will also include some level of general office support. The ability to meet strict deadlines is important, as is a sense of humor and a love for contemporary art. A vehicle (and valid driver’s license) would be considered a strong plus. Applicants should be able to work from our office in Providence roughly 2 days a week.
