Internship Opportunities With Headmaster
Headmaster is currently seeking Design/Production, Events/Marketing, and Photo/Video interns for Fall 2017. Internships with Headmaster provide the opportunity to work in a small creative studio and a full immersion in the process of producing a world-class queer art publication.
The Headmaster studio is a small creative environment. In addition to some level of general office support, all interns are encouraged to take part in the creative/editorial process. The ability to meet deadlines is expected, as is a sense of humor and a love of contemporary art. Applicants should be able to work two or three days per week. This position is intended for candidates in the Providence, Rhode Island area.
All internship opportunities will happen on site for 10-15 hours over a 13-week period, although schedules can be adjusted to accommodate academic schedules. College credit is available, and Headmaster has worked with students from Brown, RISD, Bryant University, Ball State University, and the greater Providence community. Headmaster interns have gone on to work for many organizations including Marie Claire, GQ, and more.

Headmaster, the biannual print art magazine for man-lovers, seeks one qualified person for a 13-week hands-on Design and Production internship at our office in Providence, RI.
The design/production intern will assist in concepting, design and layout of Headmaster no. 8. In addition to working on the print issue, the intern will also assist in the design of promotional materials including advertisements, web content and special projects. Applicants should possess strong graphic design and organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite.

Headmaster, the biannual print art magazine for man-lovers, seeks one qualified person for a 13 week hands-on Events and Marketing internship.
The Events and Marketing Intern will research new marketing opportunities, oversee the organization of press materials, and work with Headmaster on social media development and general promotional strategies. Additionally, the intern will assist with the planning of a series of promotional events taking place between October 2017 and February 2018.
Applicants should be organized and enthusiastic, with excellent writing skills and strict attention to grammatical detail. Interest in marketing and promotions is a must, and experience with a variety of social media would be considered a strong plus.

The Photo/Video Intern will assist with concepting and producing specific creative projects with Headmaster, a print magazine, and our website, headmastermagazine.com. This is a unique opportunity for the intern to create high quality work that will be seen by professionals in the art and media communities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual with a working knowledge of Photoshop and strong organizational skills. Interest in video editing would be considered a strong plus. Additionally, access to a professional quality camera and photo/video editing software would be greatly helpful since some of the work will be done offsite.

The Curatorial/Research Intern will assist with preparation for Headmaster no. 9. The intern will also assist with research for one or more creative projects that extend beyond the printed page. This internship would be ideal for a student interested in both visual art and the humanities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual with strong writing skills and a range of cultural interests. The intern should be comfortable working independently, enjoy reading, and be able to present research findings in an organized way.
